Good Faith Estimate
At Evermore Therapy & Wellness, we believe in transparency when it comes to the cost of mental health care.
Under the federal No Surprises Act, individuals who are uninsured or choose not to use their health insurance to pay for services have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate outlining the expected costs of their care.
What Is a Good Faith Estimate?
A Good Faith Estimate provides an estimate of the expected charges for scheduled therapy services. It allows you to understand the anticipated cost of treatment before beginning services.
Who Is Eligible?
You may be eligible to receive a Good Faith Estimate if you:
Do not have health insurance.
Have health insurance but choose not to use it to pay for your therapy services.
Your Right to Receive an Estimate
You have the right to request a written Good Faith Estimate before scheduling services or beginning treatment.
For ongoing therapy, your estimate may include the anticipated frequency and duration of sessions, along with the expected charges over the estimated treatment period.
What If Your Bill Is Higher Than Your Estimate?
If you receive a bill from your provider that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you may have the right to dispute the bill through the federal Patient-Provider Dispute Resolution process.
